Hanging Christmas Stockings Without a Mantel – Great Stockings
Christmas is coming and you may be wondering where you are going to put all of your decorations, including your Christmas stockings. Will you hang them from the ceiling and walls or do you have a beautiful mantel to display your Christmas stockings and Christmas cards or decorations on. What if you don’t have a mantel? Where will you hang your Christmas Stockings? Children deem Santa comes down the chimney unless you have told them otherwise. If you have told them he uses doors or windows or just magically appears you may want to effect the stockings convenient to Santa’s entrance. Santa is magical and he just appears in the house. He doesn’t arrive down the chimney or he would burn his bottom and your toys. He somehow shows up and puts your presents under the tree and fills your Christmas stockings. If you don’t have a mantel in your house, don’t worry. You can decorate by hanging your Christmas stockings in several places.
1. Depending on how many Christmas stockings you have you may want to hang the Stockings on both sides of your Christmas tree. If you only have one Christmas stocking than pick a side and hang it by the tree.
2. If you have a minute Christmas tree that is on a stand or table hang your Christmas stockings there.
3. Another great place to hang your Christmas stocking is on the Christmas tree. Don’t worry about it falling if it is full. Santa has done this for a long time so I am certain if he fills your Christmas stocking he will lift it off the tree and lay it with your presents.
4. Christmas stockings can also be hung around a doorway or entranceway to a room.
5. If the wall by your front door looks bare you may want to hang your Christmas stockings by the door. This opens the whole room up for decorating.
6. If you hang icicles around your doorways you may want to attach the Christmas stockings to the icicle strand in the center of the doorway.
7. If you only have a couple of Christmas stockings you may want to hang them on the doors on the inside. You can either hang all the Christmas stockings on one door in the center of the door or place the Christmas stocking on the door knob to hang down. Christmas stockings usually have something to hang them by and if they don’t consume a colored ribbon and hang the stocking from the doorknob.
Christmas stockings can be hung just about anywhere if you use thumb tacks. I would put the Christmas stockings near the Christmas tree just to make it convenient for Santa. Where ever you put your Christmas stockings I am sure Santa will find them.
